Here are the stairs roughed in. You can see the sunlight coming in the front door opening just to the left. We are trying to decide how much newel and how much wall to do here. The original thought was that it would be newel all the way up, but after we decided to finish the space above the foyer, we have some support 2x4's to deal with. We are still hoping we can do this, but need to discuss more with the builder. It's possible the top landing part of this will have to be wall. Stay tuned as this thrilling chapter of the drama unfolds!
