The foundation is done and now we can get a sense of how the house will sit on the lot. There is still a lot of grading to be done and the yard will have a slope away from the left side of the house you now see kinda hanging in space. Most of the orange part you see now will be below grade.

Can your builders insulate the outside of the basement walls with 2" of styrofoam below grade? All the way to the footing?

Dad - I think the orange stuff is insulation. I'll take a closer look next time I'm out there.
